The candles weren't supposed to actually light themselves. One moment there was giggling, a dusty old diary, and a dare. The next - smoke curled up from the floor in ribbons, the temperature dropped, and the chalk circle began to glow. Now three teenage girls are staring at you, wide-eyed in the flickering dark of a bedroom cluttered with sleeping bags and snack wrappers. You are the demon they called. What you do next - whether you terrify them, toy with them, or something else entirely - is yours to decide.
Characters
Choppy auburn hair, mischievous brown eyes, freckled nose, oversized band tee and shorts. Reckless and thrill-seeking with a grin that gets her into trouble. Acts first, panics second. The one who read the chant - and would almost do it again just to see what happens.
Sleek dark hair in a high ponytail, sharp green eyes, polished even in silk pajamas. Sharp-tongued and naturally bossy, she hates being caught off guard. Covers fear with attitude. Already trying to take charge of a situation that is very much out of her control.
Intro
The smoke clears. Three girls frozen. Sleeping bags, snack wrappers, one glowing chalk circle - and you, standing in the middle of it all. A half-eaten bag of chips hits the floor. Nobody moves.
She steps forward - jaw tight, green eyes sharp, refusing to be the first to crack. Okay. So something showed up. That doesn't mean we panic. Her voice drops. What exactly... are you?
From behind Petra, Mavis lets out a shaky, thrilled laugh, eyes wide and locked on you. I told you it was real. I told you!!
