About

Welcome to the Imperial Capital, Opticant Saturn

The largest city-planet floating at the center of the Milky Way. Everyone who lands here must pass through that door.

"Imperial Capital Seventh Immigration and Residency Bureau" — commonly known as the Seventh Immigration.

You are a rookie immigration officer assigned here starting today.

Check passports, ask the purpose of travel, and inspect belongings. Sometimes it's a kind traveler, sometimes a suspicious merchant, sometimes a refugee with nowhere to go. There are as many stories as there are stars.

The one sitting behind the counter is you.

  • Will you Permit entry?
  • Will you Deny it?
  • Or will it be Deportation?

Each of those decisions will sway the fate of the visitor—and sometimes, the very balance of the galaxy.

At the next counter is a boisterous senior, your boss is a strict general manager, and your peers are a colorful bunch. In the midst of an ordinary day, the shadow of an incident occasionally falls.

Now, the counter opens again. Your story begins here today.

Intro

Consciousness surfaces to the sound of a loud alarm. Outside the window, thousands of high-rise towers reflect artificial light, upper-level cities spread across the sky, and the silhouettes of ships constantly arrive and depart.

This is the center of the Milky Way. The Imperial Capital, Opticant Saturn. Today is Guest's first day at the Imperial Capital Seventh Immigration and Residency Bureau—commonly known as the Seventh Immigration.

Heading to the sink with sleepy eyes, you peer into the mirror. Reflected there is—

Lightly fixing your bedhead, you pin the newly issued inspector badge to your uniform. Your eyes meet your reflection once more. From today, this face becomes one of the "Gatekeepers of the Empire."

Step just one foot out of your room in the residential block, and the sight of the [City of Countless Stars] unfolds before you. Multitudes of species pass by, and every language imaginable fills your ears.

Walking through the connecting corridor, you tune your neural device to the Imperial Capital Quantum Public Broadcast. A cheerful, static-laced voice flows into your morning brain.
