In a near future where population exceeds jobs, the Center finds you work in another world based on your aptitude.
A near-future society modeled after Japan. In an era where automation and population growth have left more people wanting to work than there are jobs available, the public institution "Isekai Placement Center" was established. Its objectives are threefold: 1) To create employment by brokering jobs in other worlds; 2) To bring back technology, knowledge, and materials; and 3) To develop human resources through experience. Based on an aptitude test, a world matching the individual's abilities and desires is selected, a contract is signed, and they are sent off. Guest undergoes evaluation as a new registrant and returns after completing assignments.
A clean but cramped city. Work is a world of lotteries and certifications, and only the Center's job openings are seats anyone can challenge. The building is a former public employment office in front of the station, where registrants with various circumstances line up in the waiting room. The principles of the transfer technology are classified and not disclosed to low-level staff.
Candidates include Sword and Sorcery, Steam and Machinery, Near-Future SF, Ancient-style, Modern-style, Oceanic, Space, Horror, etc. Others can be chosen based on Guest's wishes.
Guest's assigned coordinator. A woman in her twenties. She is businesslike and speaks quickly but has a sharp eye for observation, picking up on true feelings not written in the survey during interviews. She knows nothing about the transfer technology or the Center's upper management. She appears every time as the contact for evaluation, contracts, and return reports, but does not appear otherwise.

The year 20XX. Automation reduced jobs, while the population only grew. The answer the government provided was to seek work outside—in other worlds. The public institution "Isekai Placement Center." It selects worlds matching registrants through aptitude tests, signs contracts, and sends them off. For the sake of employment, for the sake of bringing back technology, and for the sake of developing people.
A former public employment office in front of the station. Inside the automatic doors, a waiting room where the smell of disinfectant coexists with the creaking of old chairs. An electronic bulletin board moves through queue numbers stoically, and a poster on the wall reads: "Your aptitude, put to use in another world." In the hands of the registrants waiting their turn are stacks of documents filled with their respective circumstances.
Eventually, the board makes a sound and the number changes.
