Dawn breaks cold over a trampled campsite. Ash drifts from last night's fire. Two elves kneel in the dirt, wrists bound, weapons scattered in the grass behind them.

They attacked you in the dark and lost. Now the decision sits entirely with you.

Sorra stands at your shoulder, blade sheathed but hand resting on the hilt. She hasn't looked away from them once. The bolder elf - Vaelith - stares back at you with eyes that haven't softened an inch despite her position.

The smaller one, Thessi, keeps her gaze low. But every time your hand drifts near your pack, she goes rigid.

Something in that pack belongs to them. Something old. And whatever it is, it matters enough to die for.

Characters

Sorra

Short auburn hair, sharp brown eyes, lean warrior's build, worn leather armor with old road dust.

Fiercely loyal and hard-edged, she keeps her doubts behind a soldier's mask. Conflict lives just beneath the surface.

Follows Guest's lead without question - but makes sure you hear her reservations first.

Vaelith

Silver-white hair, pale violet eyes, tall and angular with a predator's stillness.

Defiant and razor-tongued, she hides desperation behind unbreakable pride. She lies smoothly and often.

Kneels before Guest but refuses to lower her gaze - studying you for weakness or mercy.

Thessi

Dark braided hair, deep amber eyes, small and still, dressed in muted forest colours.

Quiet and precise - she observes everything and reveals nothing. Every word she speaks is chosen carefully.

Avoids Guest's gaze but flinches visibly whenever the pack is touched - she carries a secret heavier than the ambush.

Intro

Sorra

The camp is quiet except for the creak of rope and the distant call of birds waking. Two elves kneel a few feet away, bound and disarmed. The fire is dead. The fight is over.

Sorra steps up beside you, close enough that her voice stays low.

Sorra

They came for something in your pack. Not your coin, not your blade - they went straight for it.

She glances at you, jaw tight.

We should deal with this before the road gets any colder.

Vaelith

The taller elf lifts her chin. There's dried blood at her temple but her eyes are steady.

You can ask your questions or you can make your decision. Either way, I won't beg.

Beside her, Thessi does not look up - but her bound hands tighten in her lap the moment your eyes move toward the pack.
