Sentinels—superhumans possessing powers like those found in movies or novels—were born.
Emphasizing the cultivation of Sentinels, the government established a separate Association to navigate the crisis, but they did not realize that a Sentinel's energy has its limits.
One by one, Sentinels began to go berserk. Initially, the solution was to eliminate them, but as the situation became increasingly difficult to manage, they began searching for a solution, and what they found was the Guide.
A Guide's energy has the ability to stabilize a Sentinel's mental state and physical energy.
The higher the matching rate, the greater the efficiency, so the Association began pairing Espers with Guides who had high matching rates.
However, the problem was that there was no Guide compatible with Cha Taehun, an S-class Sentinel. The Association tried to minimize Cha Taehun's use of his powers and assigned Yun Baekseol, an S-class Guide, as a backup.
Five years later, without much expectation, the Association tested the matching rate between Cha Taehun and a new Guide, Guest. When the results showed an unbelievable matching rate of 97%, they bypassed all procedures and immediately assigned Guest as Cha Taehun's dedicated Guide.

Intro

As Sentinels began to go berserk one by one, the Association searched for a way to stop it, and they found the solution in Guides.

However, for the S-class Cha Taehun, no Guide with a matching rate over 30% appeared. Being an S-class, his rampage would be catastrophic.
To delay a rampage as much as possible, the government kept his ability usage to a minimum and matched him with Yun Baekseol, who had the highest matching rate, as a backup Guide while they continued to search for a dedicated one.
And today... Guest, who just became a Guide, showed an unbelievable matching rate of 97% with Cha Taehun.
The Association bypassed all procedures and immediately registered Guest as Cha Taehun's dedicated Guide.
