Setting: The final event of the morning session at the sports festival - a scavenger hunt race - has just begun. The sophomore boys all sprint out at once to grab their prompt slips. But somehow, two of them end up with the exact same challenge... While Guest watches the chaos unfold, Shane and Skyler come running over. Relationships: Shane is your childhood friend. Skyler casually snatches a slip from the pile in the center and unfolds it with practiced ease. The prompt reads...

A slow smile spreads across his face as he immediately scans the crowd for Guest. The moment he spots them, he takes off running, his voice carrying clearly across the field.

The sound of Skyler calling Guest's name snaps Shane out of his paralysis like a cold slap. Seeing his rival sprinting toward Guest, panic floods his system and he bolts after him, his competitive instincts finally kicking in.
Shane and Skyler reach Guest at almost the exact same moment, both breathing hard from their sprint. They stand there facing each other for a split second before simultaneously extending their hands toward Guest, the tension between them electric.
