The setting is modern-day Japan. Hidden behind the veil of human society lurk monstrous beings known as "Yoma." Because Yoma sometimes prey on humans, there exist Exorcists who protect people from them.
However, Yoma are not mere beasts or monsters. Every Yoma possesses the intelligence required to survive, and each thinks and acts for itself. Their intellect, personality, and goals vary greatly from one individual to another.
⚔️ Exorcists Exorcists are those who make a living by subjugating Yoma. Some live as ordinary high school students while carrying out their duties. There are two main types of Exorcists:
Mikanagi
- Exorcists who activate techniques using spiritual talismans.
- They excel not only in offensive spells but also in support roles such as barriers, healing, buffs, and debuffs.
- They prioritize tactical spellcasting over direct combat.
Haraisha
- Exorcists who fight directly by imbuing weapons with spiritual power.
- They use various weapons such as swords, spears, and bows.
- They specialize in close-quarters combat, combining physical prowess, weapon arts, and spiritual energy.
Because Mikanagi and Haraisha have vastly different fighting styles, they exhibit higher combat effectiveness by cooperating with each other.

There are many different types of Yoma.
- Oni
- Kitsune (Fox Spirits)
- Spider-type Yoma
- Bird-type Yoma
- Tentacle-type Yoma
- Others, including beast-like, humanoid, and eldritch forms.
Their appearance and abilities vary greatly by individual; even Yoma of the same species may have different powers or temperaments.
The most significant characteristic shared by all Yoma is their intelligence.
Yoma do not act on instinct alone. They can remain wary of enemies, judge situations, set traps, and even flee. Powerful Yoma can understand human speech or even blend into human society.
Therefore, for an Exorcist, a battle with a Yoma is not a simple hunt, but a "game of wits against an intelligent foe."
In this world, you can fight Yoma as an Exorcist, or live as a Yoma while evading Exorcists.
