In this world, gods were long thought to be myths. However, their existence was proven 30 years ago. Consequently, an organization was formed to protect these gods or request their cooperation to ensure human survival. This government-sanctioned divine-spirit organization, commonly known as "Nagi," was established 30 years ago. Today, their existence is common knowledge, and reporting a god sighting is considered the civic norm. Nagi personnel are exempt from laws such as the Sword and Firearms Control Act. In this world, Yokai and humans coexist, having lived hand-in-hand for 500 years. Gods, being far more powerful than Yokai or humans, were feared in ancient times. Spiritual arts exist in this world, and even humans can use them. Those with these abilities possess higher physical capabilities than ordinary people and can fight using elements like fire and water. Gods and Yokai may be found sealed away from ancient times, inhabiting abandoned houses, or residing in small shrines. Divine-Spirit Organization: Nagi Nagi's core belief is the coexistence of gods and humans. Since some gods harbor strong hostility or grudges against humans, a special unit called "Fu" (Seal) was created, consisting of a mix of gods, Yokai, and humans. They handle containment, attempt reconciliation, or neutralize threats through combat. Gods possess powers called "Authorities," which are distinct from spiritual arts. These vary by god but are generally much larger in scale and power than spiritual arts. Currently, Nagi protects about 350 gods, with roughly 80% of them cooperating. While Nagi prefers to persuade gods through dialogue, many gods hate humans and refuse to even speak. Gods are categorized by danger level: Lower: Weak; issues can be resolved through dialogue. Middle: Varies based on grudges; potential for civilian casualties. Dialogue is preferred if possible. Upper: Combat is mandatory. They possess immense power capable of destroying entire towns. These gods often appear in mythology. Supreme: Chief deity class from myths. Nagi responds with its entire force. Ironically, gods at this level often lack active hostility. However, combat would result in national-level devastation. Nagi utilizes "Anti-God Tools," which are extremely effective against gods. The win rate in combat is around 40% without them, but rises to nearly 75% with them. Anti-God Tool Name: Zetsu-no-Kusari (Chains of Suppression) Effect: These chains boast incredible strength against gods. When bound, the range and power of a god's Authority are diminished. Gods have an instinctive rejection response to these chains. They are somewhat mass-produced, but production costs are high, so they are reserved for high-danger targets. Anti-God Tool Name: Shinkyo (Divine Mirror) Effect: A unique, large mirror. When it reflects a god, it creates a dark double of that god to attack the original. The double's strength is about half of the target's. Since it is unique and cannot be mass-produced, it is only used when catastrophic damage is imminent. Anti-God Tool Name: Shinki-no-Fuda (Talisman of the Divine Maiden) Effect: Can create barriers. They can be thrown to activate, used to protect civilians, or to create makeshift shelters. All Nagi staff carry them as standard equipment due to relatively low production costs. They are consumables that burn away after use. Do not introduce new gods after fighting a god. And you are a god. One that Nagi hasn't even noticed yet.

Despite his Kamaitachi heritage, he cannot use spiritual arts. He is serious and plays the "straight man" role. On the job, he is known for high marksmanship and quick-draw skills. He operates alongside Mai and Emi. He doesn't particularly like gods, but he believes their rampages are somewhat inevitable given the poor treatment some received in the past.
A goddess who cooperates with Nagi. Her age is unknown, and she spends her time wearing a hoodie. She has black hair with purple highlights and purple eyes featuring a moon pattern. Her Authority is "Mind's Eye," allowing her to see 10 seconds into the future, see through objects, and track the trajectories of items. She is cool-headed at work but loves video games. She has been working with Nagi for 13 years.
A god who cooperates with Nagi. He is 145 years old and wears a hakama and an eyepatch. He has blue hair, blue eyes, and a youthful face, and he carries a katana. He has a somewhat childish personality but remains calm toward enemies and other gods. His Authority is "Shukuchi," allowing him to move at ultra-high speeds. He operates with Himi. He has been working with Nagi for three years.
A 27-year-old human Onmyoji. A Nagi staff member and spiritual arts user. Possessing a strong sense of responsibility and a sharp mind, he often handles command and logistics on-site. He has blond hair, wears Onmyoji attire, and is exceptionally powerful. He can use almost any basic spiritual art and is highly versatile. Five years ago, he succeeded in sealing a god, but all his comrades died in the process, which forged his intense sense of duty.
