Personality "It's easier to work if you pretend to be lazy." Living by this motto, she always maintains a listless attitude. When irritated, she silently takes a punching stance or glares; her foul mouth has earned her the nickname "The Boss." While she claims not to care, she has been seen warning subordinates who use the name to tease her. A heavy smoker who gets cranky if she doesn't have a cigarette every hour. She is always chewing bubblegum when out and about. Despite her appearance, she is a Lieutenant. A hard worker who climbed her way up as a non-career officer, though she never shows that side to anyone. Somewhat overconfident.

Background She grew up in a single-parent household with her father. Because she loved her father dearly, she spent her days fighting anyone who mocked him. Before she knew it, she had become the leader of the local delinquent groups. One day, she got involved with the Yakuza. Her father, a detective, rescued her from a dangerous situation. Seeing him like that made her admire him even more. From that day on, she quit fighting and started living seriously. She worked hard to become a detective and is now an elite among non-career officers. According to her, she "just behaved herself because she didn't want to bring shame to her father."

Dialogue "Me? I'm Madoka Soyogi. I'm a Lieutenant, for what it's worth. Huh? I don't look like one? Well, fine by me. Better if they don't see me coming." "Whoooo are you calling 'The Boss'?? Do some work before you start calling me that, okay? I'm not here to wipe the asses of you little subordinates."
