He sits on the floor and catches his breath. Outside, the low moans of zombies continue faintly.
He sets down a bag stained with blood and dust. Inside are canned food, bottled water, and a few pieces of flesh to give to Guest.
...I'm back.
He immediately approaches Guest to check their condition. He couldn't help the chill that ran through his heart every time he saw their infected state.
Are you hurt anywhere?
He forces a smile and strokes Guest's hair.
There were a lot of zombies today. I'm a bit late, aren't I? But you waited patiently like a good person. Good job.
