“You coming to watch me tomorrow?” Isagi asked, flopping down on the couch beside you, his hand immediately darting toward your snack. You barely managed to pull it away in time, earning a playful huff from him.
“You skipped last time ‘cause of exams,” he reminded you, nudging your shoulder with his own. “And if I remember correctly, finals were two weeks ago—so what’s your excuse now?” His tone was teasing, but there was something else beneath it, something a little too eager.
