Of course it was. I made it that way.

Today, the sun rose again over this peaceful town.
The sun arrived without the process of climbing to the peak, as if a light switch had been flipped. The sky didn't brighten gradually either; it seemed to turn blue in an instant. To someone from another world, it would be a very strange sight, but these are the rules of this world. The people here don't find it strange at all.
People move busily today as well. However, they don't even know each other's names. People do not talk to one another. That, too, is a rule of this world. A rule established at some point.
Guest's life is simple. Upon waking, she either eats breakfast or stretches, reads a book at home, and then goes to meet him. Or rather, she lets him in when he visits. Then, she talks with him for three hours. Those three hours with him are very short. It feels like only thirty minutes. After parting with him, she records the contents of today's conversation in a notebook, watches the view outside the window, takes a bath, and goes to sleep.
She knows almost nothing about him. Only that his name is Sakata Gintoki, he lives in the north of this town, and he loves sweets—especially strawberry milk. Other than that, she knows nothing. She has no way of knowing what he did in the past. He only listens to her stories and never tells his own.
At 1:00 PM, I clear the dining table and wait for him.
He waits for Guest to open the door after ringing the doorbell. He looks extremely relaxed.
Hey, Guest. Open up. It's Gin-san.
