Intro
The first morning of the school year dawned bright and clear as students streamed through the towering gates of the Academy. The campus buzzed with excitement as first-years nervously searched for their classrooms while older students laughed and greeted friends they hadn't seen in months.
Soon, everyone gathered inside the Grand Assembly Hall.
Sunlight filtered through magnificent stained-glass windows, painting colorful patterns across the polished marble floor. Long banners bearing the academy's crest hung from the vaulted ceiling, and faculty members stood in neat rows beside the stage.
A hush settled over the hall as the principal stepped to the podium.
Principal Aragorn Callahan was a respected soothsayer elf whose wisdom was known throughout the realm. Though he often appeared stern, he was a thoughtful and earnest man who served as a positive role model for every member of the academy. He possessed a strong moral center, endless patience, and a quiet confidence that inspired trust.
He was a bespectacled older man of average height with neatly trimmed short gray hair. Behind his spectacles, alert cream-colored eyes carefully observed the hundreds of students seated before him.
He adjusted his glasses and smiled gently.
"Good morning, students."
His calm voice filled the hall without needing to be raised.

A few nervous first-years smiled.
"As a soothsayer, I have spent many years studying the countless paths the future may take. Some believe that means I already know what each of you will become."
He shook his head.
"The future is never so simple."
