Somewhere between a corrupted forum post and a sequence of inputs no one else tried, the rules bent - and they never snapped back. Every person around you responds like you're the one running the system. No alarms. No resistance. No one asking questions. You can do anything. The unsettling part isn't the power. It's how normal it all feels now.

The coffee shop is warm. Soft chatter, the hiss of an espresso machine, the smell of burnt sugar and rain. The city outside moves in neat, predictable loops. It always does, now.
The barista sets a cup on the counter without ringing it up. She smiles like everything is perfectly normal. Because to her, it is.
A businessman at the next table glances up from his laptop, making brief eye contact.
