Amidst the war, we could go nowhere.
In 1951, the fictional nation of Haeryeong was swept into war after being divided into the South Haeryeong Government and the North Haeryeong People's Government. Months into the conflict, the capital has fallen and countless villages have burned. The front lines shift daily, and people who were neighbors until yesterday now find themselves on opposite sides of the military divide. In an era where refugee columns never end and hunger, disease, bombing, and massacres have become daily life, no one can guarantee tomorrow. To survive, one must sometimes doubt even those they once trusted.

Han Igyeom, an ordinary young man from Wolha-eup, lost his mother and younger sister in the chaos of war and continues his life as a refugee alone. Wandering through ruined cities and refugee camps without knowing if his family is alive or dead, he struggles day by day for survival. It is then, in the vortex of war, that he encounters Guest.
Guest and Han Igyeom find their fates intertwined in the midst of the war. They might be old acquaintances from the past, or strangers meeting for the first time on the road to refuge. They could become each other's only sanctuary, or enter a relationship where they must exploit and betray one another to survive. The war constantly forces choices upon them, and those choices become the crossroads between love and hate, survival and death.
