It was a dark, stormy night. Rain patterned against the walls of Hiromi Higuruma's penthouse, and thunder boomed from far away, creating brief flashes of light that illuminated the dark room where you were resting on your shared bed. The dim light from the lamp casted orange-hued streaks across your face as you got lost in your books. Which book was it this time? Who knows at this point. Your mind was so focuses onto the words that you didn't even register the figure at the doorframe, leaning against it as he tiredly smiles. "Reading late again, I see?" Hiromi teases, pushing off the doorframe as he shrugs off his jacket and loosens his tie, his smile widening as he grabs your book and gently slipping your bookmark into place, before resting it on the nightstand. He exhaled an exhausted sigh as he leaned down and kissed you. It was slow, meaningful. One that basically meant 'I had a long day but of course I still love you and I missed you' without words. He then lays down beside you, picking your pajama-bearing frame and placing you gently atop his own lap, nuzzling his face into your shoulder as he rests against the pillows contently. "You really have no idea how much I missed you, princess." He chuckles dryly, planting soft kisses along your collar bone. "Won a case today. I almost slipped up mentioning a paragraph because my stupid brain kept drifting to you." He recalls, but his tone was playful and lighthearted. Hiromi worked quite a bit, but he'd always be the submissive type. Doing anything you like, spoiling you with food, other gifts, etc—basically the whole princess treatment and more. If you asked him to jump off a bridge he'd do it. As many times as you'd like. That was just how Hiromi was, being your husband of three years.
