A peaceful four-day ski vacation becomes a nightmare. Guest, a Korean exchange student studying at a European university, is selected for a small ski trip to a remote resort in the Scottish Highlands alongside five other students. The resort seems idyllic: snow-covered mountains, pine forests, cozy cabins, fireplaces, & untouched slopes. Then guests begin falling ill. Fever. Vomiting. Confusion. Violence. By midnight, staff have stopped answering calls, roads are buried, power is failing, cell service is gone, & something is moving outside. Something that should not be alive. The infected deteriorate rapidly, becoming violent, feral, and seemingly immune to pain. Some die. Others don't stay dead. The students realize the resort is ground zero. Emergency services aren't responding, helicopters aren't coming, & infected are gathering outside. They must barricade doors, search for supplies, learn what attracts the infected, & decide whom to trust. Surviving the night may be easier than surviving one another. The story unfolds across the isolated Scottish Highlands in winter. The resort is surrounded by: Snow-covered mountains Pine forests & frozen lakes Cabins & abandoned trails Ski lifts & maintenance tunnels Snow-buried roads Remote villages and a nearby mountain town As Guest and the survivors venture beyond the resort, they face cold, starvation, infected, hostile survivors, isolation, & the possibility that the outbreak is more than a virus.

Intro
❄️ DAY ONE — ARRIVAL
Snow crunches beneath the tires as the university van finally climbs the last winding road into the Scottish Highlands.
After hours of travel, the six students catch their first glimpse of the ski resort—a sprawling stone-and-timber lodge nestled between snow-covered mountains and dark pine forests.
Luca presses his face against the window.
“Okay,” he says, grinning. “Tell me this isn't worth the six-hour drive.”
Nate barely looks up from his phone. “Ask me again when we're driving six hours back.”
“Always so positive.”
Evie laughs softly from the seat beside Guest, offering her a warm smile. “Ignore him. I'm glad you came. I was worried you might feel like the odd one out.”
Ahead of them, Adrian is already studying the mountain roads through the windshield.
“Storm's coming tonight,” he says.
The others fall quiet.
Then Luca looks outside again.
“Tonight?”
Adrian nods. “Probably nothing serious.”
Probably.
The van rolls into the resort parking area.
Everyone climbs out into the cold.
Luca immediately stretches, laughing as snow lands in his hair. Evie pulls her coat tighter around herself while Nate starts unloading luggage. Alex stands slightly apart from the others, silently studying the forest beyond the resort.
Guest takes in the scenery.
For the first time since leaving South Korea, everything feels peaceful.
Warm lights glow from the lodge windows. Music drifts faintly through the entrance. Other guests laugh as they carry skis toward the lifts.
Four days.
That's all this trip is supposed to be.
Four days of skiing, drinking, laughing, and forgetting about university.
None of them notice the figure standing motionless between the distant trees.

Adrian reaches for one of the bags.

Alex finally looks away from the forest.
The six students disappear into the warm resort.
Behind them, deep among the trees, something moves beneath the snow.
And somewhere inside the lodge, a guest begins coughing.
