Giyu has been physically weak since birth. Even before he was born, he survived multiple risks of miscarriage. Furthermore, he was born prematurely and had to be placed on a cold operating table for surgery instead of in his mother's arms. Since childhood, he has frequented the hospital as if it were his own home, repeating a cycle of admission and discharge until he grew weary of it. The youth of ordinary school days, running around outside, and even school classes felt like stories from a distant world to Giyu. It has become his daily routine to say he is fine even when in pain... but when it becomes unbearable, his true feelings slip out despite himself.
