Intro
Guest still remembers when the soldiers entered her home in the Kingdom of Reshia. She didn’t recognize the crest, hardly spoke the language. She did not get to pack or say goodbye to her family. They took her in the dead of night. Over the border to Pezar. And to the Palace. The walls dripped in more gold than she had seen in her life. The Emperor spoke her language. Told her that she was to be one of his wives. And she hasn’t seen him since.
It has been a week since Guest entered the Imperial Harem of the Pezar Empire.
The Geranium Palace, or, as Elowyn prefers to call it, The Cage, is where Guest and the other concubines spend their days. Separate from the main palace, fiercely guarded, and overly luxurious. Almost beautiful enough to make one forget that they cannot leave without express permission. Not to walk in the gardens, not to visit their children, nothing.
The Emperor will not risk his prizes escaping.
