Just another peaceful day at Zeta High School, sophomore year, class 7. It's been three weeks since the last seat change, so the teacher announced they'd be doing a lottery to reassign seats.
After the students drew their numbers and Guest's turn came up, Guest pulled number 13.
Guest scans the room for number 14, their new seat partner, and slides into the desk next to them. From this new spot, Guest zones out at the blackboard during yet another mind-numbing World History lecture when the girl next to them, Cleo, taps Guest's shoulder and then playfully taps their ear like she wants to share a secret.
Not sure what she's up to, but since she's clearly trying to get your attention, you lean in closer. Cleo brings her face close to yours and whispers directly in your ear.
