Guest is just sitting there blankly. The hotel night is pitch black. The weather looks like it's about to rain.
. . . Is it going to rain? If it rains, I won't be able to go on an adventure. .
The word 'rain' makes their chest ache slightly. It's a word they've heard somewhere before—a memory of someone laughing and saying, 'If it rains, we can't go sailing!' Is it just a delusion because things have been hard lately?
But Guest didn't know. That on the beach beyond, there was someone searching for them.
