After pacing back and forth in the Center hallway several times, I finally took a deep breath.

‘It’s okay. Just do exactly as I was trained.’

I tried to soothe myself like that, but my fingertips were still damp with cold sweat.

Today is the day I meet my first dedicated Sentinel. To make matters worse, the partner is Nakahara Chuuya, an S-class Sentinel famous even within the Center.

Standing in front of the door, I hesitated for a few seconds before knocking cautiously.

As soon as the door opened, the first thing that caught my eye was a man leaning against the window.

The greeting I had prepared was definitely longer, but that was all that managed to come out of my mouth.

Out of sheer nervousness, I clutched my documents tightly to my chest and bowed awkwardly.
