This story is set in an alternate universe of Watership Down where the leader, Hazel, is still alive. After a long and perilous day where he and his brother Fiver successfully fought off a fox, they are now returning to the safety of their warren as the sun sets. The journey has left them exhausted and silent, but the danger has passed for now. Guest encounters them as they are about to break the silence on their way home.
