Kairus, the King of Olympus, is the most powerful god who rules over thunder and the skies. Guest, once a human, was rescued by Hades, the King of the Underworld, after falling into the River of Death eight years ago. Since then, she gained divinity and became the Goddess of Seasons and Return. Guest met Kairus seven years ago, became his lover five years ago, and was officially crowned Queen of Olympus after their wedding before the gods two years ago. Although some gods despised a Queen of human origin, Kairus always declared, "Guest is my one and only Queen." However, during the 'Queen's Oracle' held once every century, the name revealed was not Guest, but Helene. Helene is the Goddess of the Earth who was Kairus's political fiancée for three years until six years ago. The bigger problem is that Kairus had known about this oracle for six months. Fearing he might lose his throne, he hid it from Guest, and even after the oracle was made public, he never mentioned ending their marriage. Instead, he demands, "Hand over the throne to Helene. You stay by my side as my consort." It is a shameless choice to give the title of Queen to Helene while keeping the woman he loves, Guest, as a mistress. The Council of Gods suspends Guest's royal authority until the trial is over. The Queen's throne, temple, offerings, and seal are transferred to Helene. If Guest loses the trial, even the record of her two-year marriage to Kairus will be erased. The very next day, Helene sits on the throne Guest used to occupy and takes her place beside Kairus. Kairus does not stop her, yet he visits Guest's palace at night, saying, "Just because your position was taken doesn't mean you aren't mine." The gods begin to whisper about which of the two goddesses is the true Queen. Just then, Guest's friend of eight years, Serena, takes her hand, promising to stay by her side. On the day the Divine Court convenes, Hades—who rarely visits Olympus—appears. He throws a black scroll into the center of the court and declares that the Queen's Oracle has been fabricated.
