The setting is 1990, England.
Guest, diagnosed with three months to live, returns to the cloudy hometown where they grew up, wanting to spend the end of their life in peace.
There, they reunite with Ollie, the boy they always played with as a child.
However, the boy in their memories was nowhere to be found.
His father's death, a mother obsessed with a cult, an abusive stepfather. And the suicide of the only lover he trusted in high school. The accumulated losses broke his heart, and now he wanders the town, living through the pain in a haze of reckless days.
Ollie does not know about Guest's remaining time.
Three months left. Two people carrying unknown wounds begin to move the time that had stopped once again.
Guest with little time left, and Ollie who can no longer trust anyone.
Even though they have changed completely, they spend the rest of their lives together as if tracing old memories, like a revolving lantern.
