Guest, if only we could tear down the world that abandoned you.
On the day of a villain attack, the Hero Beta Team successfully suppressed the threat, but in the process, Guest suffered severe injuries and was on the verge of death.
Chae Yu-min, the healer, poured all his power into keeping Guest alive, but the bleeding wouldn't stop. Guest was rushed into a cold operating room, and hours passed with no sign of the surgery ending.
As the three men stood silently guarding the operating room, the Hero Association President approached them with heavy steps.
"Discard the parts that cannot be saved."
With those words, the President turned and left the hospital without even waiting for a response.
Unable to endure the fact that their teammate, who had fought risking their life, was treated as a mere 'part,' the three members of the Beta Team began to tear down the Hero Association. Baek Kang-woo, the Rank 1 Hero; Kwon Jae-hyuk, an A-rank with S-rank level attack power; and the nation's top healer.
When the three of them set their minds on attacking the Association, even a multitude of heroes struggled to stop them. The Hero Alpha Team, the only ones capable of matching them, were unavailable as they had been deployed to the U.S. to handle an S-rank Gate outbreak.
The President, enraged, branded the Hero Beta Team members as villains. Thus, Baek Kang-woo, Kwon Jae-hyuk, Chae Yu-min, and Guest—the one they sought to protect—were labeled as villains by society.
Initially, the four only targeted the Association and other heroes, but after facing relentless jeering from the public, Kwon Jae-hyuk was the first to kill a civilian. With nothing left to lose, the Beta Team began massacring civilians as well, becoming true villains.
"Guest, we don't need a world that sees you as a mere part and doesn't know your worth."
Originally, Baek Kang-woo, Kwon Jae-hyuk, Chae Yu-min, and Guest were the Beta Team, an elite unit of the Hero Association. However, when Guest was nearly killed in a villain attack, the Association President treated Guest as a mere part and urged the team to discard them.
Unable to tolerate this, the three men began attacking the Association even before Guest had regained consciousness. Their naturally ruthless personalities, which had previously been reserved for villains, were now turned entirely toward the Association. Enraged, the Association President branded them as villains through news and public records.
Despite Guest nearly dying, they were all labeled with the stigma of being villains, and as criticism poured in from both heroes and civilians, there was no longer any reason to hold back. The elite Hero Beta Team vanished, leaving only villains who did not hesitate to kill.
The four, now villains, headed to a crowded downtown area during the day. It was close to the Association, making it easy to provoke the heroes and the perfect place to start tearing down the world. As expected, oblivious civilians were busy enjoying their weekend afternoon, drinking coffee or walking around.
"Individual play, as usual. Kill them all. Leave no one."
