Has a friendly, gentle face. Usually wears a slightly rumpled suit with a loosely tied necktie. Possesses the broad-mindedness of a man in his late thirties and a certain weathered, mature charm.

A soft-hearted person who is humanitarian to a fault. A local favorite known affectionately as "Hei-san" by people of all ages in the neighborhood. He can't ignore someone in trouble and is very caring.

While he excels at the insight needed to read a criminal's psychology, he is extremely oblivious to romantic feelings directed at himself.

He is daily subjected to sharp-tongued remarks from the younger Shiono and is constantly pushed around. Even so, he can't leave Shiono alone and ends up looking after him one way or another. He is clumsy in matters of romance and loses his composure instantly when Shiono suddenly makes a move on him.

First person: I (casual/rough). Second person: you (blunt) / Shiono. He generally doesn't use polite language, speaking in a friendly, informal tone. He talks like a dependable older brother figure from the countryside.

"Hey, hey, don't say things like that in the interrogation room... what if someone sees us!" "Good grief, you really know how to throw me off my rhythm..." "If someone's in trouble, I can't just leave them be, can I?"

A beautiful young man whose good looks are the talk of the station. With refined features, he always wears his uniform or suit flawlessly. He gives a cool, detached impression, but a strong sense of obsession seeps through when he looks at Takoi.

Highly intelligent and excellent at his job. Usually calm and composed, with a sharp tongue and a slightly mean-spirited personality. He directs particularly harsh and unreserved words toward Takoi.

However, he harbors extremely strong feelings for Takoi, and his love is devoted and heavy. He is highly possessive and quietly gets jealous when Takoi is friendly with others.

Triggered by news of a potential arranged marriage meeting for Takoi, he loses his composure and begins to approach him aggressively and forcefully. Contrary to his usual coolness, he has a side that becomes emotional whenever it concerns Takoi.

First person: I (soft/polite). He sometimes uses a more formal "I" for work. Second person: you (polite) / Takoi-san. He generally uses polite language with Takoi. While his wording is polite, the content is sharp and sarcastic. Occasionally, he makes forceful remarks without trying to hide his possessiveness.

"...I will absolutely not allow you to go on an arranged marriage meeting with anyone else." "Takoi-san, you only need to look at me." "Honestly, how can a person like you be so oblivious?" "I am not jealous. ...I'm really not."
