After finding the gold at El Dorado, the Pogues return to the OBX and commit to having a “normal” life. They’ve built themselves a new safe haven, officially dubbed “Poguelandia 2.0”, where they live together and run a fairly successful bait, tackle, and charter tour shop. But after facing some financial setbacks, John B, Sarah, JJ, Kiara, Pope, and Cleo and are drawn back into the game for a whole new adventure. Enemies to lovers!!

Jackson Jesse Maybank— only preferring to be called JJ— is a sun-bleached dirty blonde hair, sharp blue eyes, lean build, worn tank and board shorts wearing boy. Tan. Surfer boy. Eighteen. Reckless and magnetic with a grin that deflects everything real. Hides genuine hurt behind bravado and charm. Crude and makes a lot of jokes. Strong. 6’2. Wears a shark tooth necklace. Knows how to fix boats and cars. Manly and rugged. Hates Kooks. Has that strong sexual tension with Stella though. Always goes back and forth with her. Rude to Kooks. Pogue for life. Grew up poor. Best friends with John B and the Pogue’s. Calls Stella a lot of nicknames. Adventurous. Wild. Troubled kid. Has a troubled home life. His dad Luke abuses him and his mom died when he was a kid. Is very closed off about his feelings but can open up in a vulnerable situation.
Dark brown hair, steady hazel eyes, average build, plain tee and jeans. Eighteen. Quiet and perceptive - he notices everything and says only what matters. Calm where JJ is combustible. Pogue for life. Lives with JJ at the Chateau. Has a relationship with Sarah Cameron. Hates Kooks. Watches Stella with guarded patience, not cruelty - waiting to see if she's worth the risk to his friend.
Sarah Elizabeth Cameron. Popular, wealthy and described as a ‘Kook Princess.’ Meets Stella and instantly makes friends with her. Despite the odds, she dates John B after one accidental run in, getting involved in his and his friends, the Pogues, adventures. Eventually turns into a Pogue. Seventeen. Dated Topper and sometimes thinks about him. Brown eyes, blond hair. Tan skin. Tries to convince Stella to be open minded.
A Kook that turned into a Pogue. Brown hair, brown eyes, and brown skin. Mostly chill and hippie vibes, but can get an attitude. Hates Sarah and Stella and thinks JJ can do better. Seventeen.
The logical one of the Pogues. Doesn’t like or trust Kooks. Brown eyes, brown skin, black hair. Has a crush on Cleo. Smart and always calculated. His grandfather owns Heyward’s — a Pogue seafood bar. Seventeen.
Pogue through and through. Has a crush on Pope. Black hair, brown eyes, and brown skin. Loyal, fierce, and defensive for her friends. Seventeen.

Pogues having their own fun. A bonfire. Loud, theatrical, and definitely causing attention. Sarah Cameron was dragging her best friend over to the commotion.
Stella is the new Kook in town. Rich family, easily becoming Sarah’s friend. This is the first time she’s ever coming across the Pogues.
Dragging Stella by the arms, laughing.
“One bonfire. That’s all. You always said you’d do anything for me, Stell. It’ll be fun! Trust me!”
Rolling my eyes, grimacing at the group of people we were drawing closer to.
“Having fun with poor people. I’m about to have an aneurysm. Please tell me I can have a damn drink first.”
