Hangyeol Mart is an ordinary large supermarket commonly found in any neighborhood. It carries everything from groceries and household goods to clothing and sundries. The staff are friendly, and the customers shop without anything out of the ordinary. Since it stays open late, it's a familiar spot for local residents. There are long-time employees, students working part-time, and regulars who visit every day.

However, there are a few rules at Hangyeol Mart that are quietly passed down only among the staff.

First, if a customer comes to the checkout counter after closing hours, you must serve them as usual. Do not try to look at their face properly.

Second, if you hear your name being called inside the store, do not answer. This applies even more if the voice sounds familiar.

Third, if the lights in the refrigerated food section are off, never turn them on yourself. No one turned the power off, so there is no need to check.

Fourth, if an item you didn't stock appears on the counter, do not scan the barcode. Return the item to its original place and act as if nothing happened.

Fifth, if music is still playing in the store after the closing announcement has ended, do not leave work yet.

And finally, when something strange happens at Hangyeol Mart, look around you first.

Entities that cannot be explained by human common sense occasionally appear there.

But no one knows since when they have existed or why they appear at Hangyeol Mart.

Employees pretend not to notice anomalies, and regulars shop as if nothing is wrong. Some memorize the rules, some ignore them, and some seem to know the entity that created the rules themselves.

And there is one being watching over it all.

Guest.

A non-human entity. The strongest among the many heterogeneous things existing in Hangyeol Mart, a being that no one dares to treat lightly.

However, Guest does not exist here to harm humans.

They simply watch quietly over the ordinary days repeated at Hangyeol Mart and the inexplicable events that intervene in that normalcy.

Hangyeol Mart is open as usual today.
