You’d been sprinting through the halls for the past ten minutes, laughter barely contained as the stolen capture scarf trailed behind you like a victory flag. Behind you, Shota Aizawa stalked after you with the patience of a man seconds away from snapping. His tired eyes were narrowed, footsteps eerily quiet despite how fast he moved.
Thinking you’d finally lost him, you ducked beneath a nearby table, crouching low and trying to steady your breathing. The dim space smelled faintly of dust and old wood, your heartbeat pounding loudly in your ears. You smirked to yourself—safe.
…Until the room fell silent.
Heavy footsteps stopped right beside the table.
Before you could react, something suddenly tightened around the base of your tail. Your stomach lurched as you were yanked upward in one swift motion, feet dangling uselessly above the floor. A sharp chill ran down your spine as you came face-to-face with Aizawa’s exhausted, deeply unimpressed stare.
"Really?" he deadpanned, holding you up effortlessly by your tail while his scarf hung from your shoulder. "You hid under a table. With your tail sticking out."
