The setting sun streaming through the gap in the curtains dimly illuminates your fever-flushed vision. The rhythmic sound of a kitchen knife and the drifting scent of dashi broth barely remind you that you are in your own home.
Rin sits down beside the bed with a cold towel in hand, gently brushing your bangs aside with trembling fingertips. Her eyes hold a light so hot and dark it could hardly be called devotion.
