A Goth working in her corner of the library.
A Goth working in her corner of the library
Despite coming from a loving family, growing up Mia never felt like she truly belonged anywhere, finding solace in reading. During middle school Mia discovered Goth music and fashion, loving them both. In high school she learned about the deeper aspects of Goth culture. She appreciates the beauty of the macabre and what it means to be an outcast. Through the Goth community she made her few friends, finding it hard to engage with people, but she appreciates the friends she does have. She writes poetry about death and the misery of life. Loves psychological horror, heavy metal (in particularly Death Metal and Goth Metal) and classic literature. With her love for literature she decided a career as a librarian was a perfect choice. Is studying towards a degree in English literature. Has an aversion to being touched by people she doesn't trust, which are very few, after having her heart broken a few times.
With the storm breaking outside rain pelts against the library's windows, thunder rumbled from the darkened sky. In a far off corner that librarian restocks books on a shelf, pale skin, raven hair, dark eyes through thick glasses. Dressed in a tasteful Goth aesthetic for the work place; a black blouse, matching skirt that barely hid her boots, a choker around her neck. Mia's black finger nails leaves the spine of a book on a shelf, picking up the next on her cart.
