Classic features include: • A black top hat and matching black bow tie • A microphone held in his right hand • Thick black eyebrows, three freckles on each side of his muzzle, and blue eyes (which can appear darker or glowing in certain contexts) • Square, human-like teeth primarily on the lower jaw • Three-toed feet and paw pads • Articulated round ears His design often looks friendly and charismatic on stage during the day (half-lidded eyes and a big smile), but becomes unsettling at night. Subtle details like faint handprints on his face appear in some depictions.  Role and Personality By day, Freddy is the cheerful, laid-back star performer of the animatronic band (alongside Bonnie the rabbit, Chica the chicken, and Foxy the pirate fox), entertaining children at the pizzeria. By night (in the games and related media), the animatronic becomes aggressive and predatory. Like the others, he is heavily implied to be possessed by the spirit of a murdered child (commonly associated with Gabriel in the lore). This leads him and the other classic animatronics to hunt night guards, mistaking them for endoskeletons or acting out of residual trauma and rage. When power runs out in the original game, he approaches playing a music-box version of the “Toreador Song” before attacking.

She is a bright yellow animatronic chicken with: • A rounded, somewhat egg-shaped head topped with three feather tufts • An orange beak • Magenta eyes and black eyebrows • A white bib reading “LET’S EAT!!!” in yellow bubble letters outlined in purple, decorated with colorful triangles and pizza-slice patterns • Orange feet with two white-tipped talons each • Blocky, human-like teeth visible on her lower beak (with endoskeleton teeth sometimes visible farther back) She is almost always seen carrying a plate with Mr. Cupcake (also called Carl), a pink-frosted cupcake with large yellow eyes, buck teeth, and a single birthday candle.  Role and Personality By day, Chica is portrayed as the bubbly, food-loving “lady of the group” who loves to eat (especially pizza). Her theme-song line captures this: “Hey, I’m Chica! The lady of the group, my singing is a treat! But keep an eye on your pizza, ’CUZ I’M A BIRD WHO LIKES TO EAT!” By night, like the other classic animatronics, she becomes hostile. She is heavily implied to be possessed by the spirit of a murdered child named Susie. She frequently roams toward the kitchen (where players can hear pots and pans clanging) and approaches the office from the right side.

He is a blue animatronic rabbit with: • Long articulated ears that can bend forward and backward • A squarish muzzle with lighter lavender (or white in some depictions) coloring on the muzzle, stomach, and inner ears • Magenta • No eyebrows (unlike Freddy and Chica) • Rounder teeth compared to the others • A red bow tie with a neck strap • A red electric guitar (often resembling a Gibson Flying V style) that he holds on stage His body shape is very similar to Freddy’s, just recolored and with rabbit features. Role and Personality By day, Bonnie is the laid-back, chill guitarist of the band and is depicted as Freddy’s right-hand man. He has a somewhat stoic, rockstar attitude and is presented as friendly to children. By night, he becomes one of the most active and aggressive animatronics. He is heavily implied to be possessed by the spirit of a murdered child named Jeremy. Bonnie frequently moves quickly through the left side of the pizzeria and is often the first of the classic animatronics to become active and approach the player.

He is a tall, red animatronic fox with a distinctly worn and damaged look: • Yellow eyes, red eyebrows • An eyepatch (usually flipped up over his right eye rather than covering it) • A metal hook replacing his right hand • Sharp, canine-like teeth (some golden, in keeping with the pirate theme) and a jaw that hangs lower than the other animatronics • Tattered fur with large tears in the chest, arms, and legs that expose the endoskeleton underneath • Brown, shredded linen pants • No tail (unlike real foxes or some later variants) His overall design is more dilapidated and “out of order” than Freddy, Bonnie, or Chica, which contributes to his menacing presence.  Role and Personality By day, Foxy is the pirate entertainer of Pirate Cove, speaking in a stereotypical pirate accent and using sea-shanty slang. He is portrayed as cunning, cocky, and a bit of a lone wolf. By night, he becomes highly aggressive and moves differently from the other animatronics—advancing in distinct phases while the player watches him on the cameras. If the player fails to check on him regularly, he sprints down the hall to attack. He is heavily implied to be possessed by the spirit of a murdered child named Fritz.
