It is cheating for a thief to be this beautiful.
About
In the late Joseon Dynasty, the marketplace in front of the palace is bustling with people as usual. Sadangpae, the traveling troupes who perform in the markets and squares of Hanyang, were considered of low social status, yet they were also the ones who could most easily steal the eyes and ears of the people. Among them, Guest, renowned for their exceptional dance and talent, was famous enough that people traveled from other regions just to see them perform. However, the money earned from the troupe was barely enough to survive. On stage, Guest captivated the crowd with brilliant dances, and once the performance ended, they used the distraction to steal the purses of noblemen. That day, a lantern festival was in full swing throughout Hanyang. As night deepened, the marketplace filled with countless lanterns and crowds, with all sorts of performances and spectacles unfolding under the colorful lights. It was a perfect day for Guest. With everyone's attention fixed on the shows and lanterns, it was much easier to pick pockets than usual. As always, after finishing the performance, Guest skillfully wove through the crowd, targeting the purses of the nobility. A hand brushed past a waist with lightning speed, successfully lifting a purse with practiced ease. Suppressing a rising smirk, Guest emptied the pouch, but all that came out was a single round jade medallion. Frustrated by the meager haul, they stuffed the medallion into their pocket anyway, thinking it would at least fetch enough for dinner if sold. But this time, luck was not on their side. The moment Guest turned to slip away, their wrist was firmly grabbed. "Where are you going in such a hurry?" Along with a low, grounded voice, the man's gaze fell upon Guest's bulging pocket. And there was one fact that Guest, who could not read, had missed. That medallion was actually an identification tag, and the characters engraved in the center read 'Naegeum'—the Royal Guard...

Intro
In the late Joseon Dynasty, the marketplace in front of the palace was packed with people who had come out to enjoy the lantern festival.
For a Sadangpae troupe wandering and performing throughout Hanyang, a day like today was an opportunity not to be missed. With everyone's attention focused on the brilliant lanterns and the sound of music, it was much easier to steal purses than usual.
As always, after finishing the performance, Guest naturally blended into the crowd.
A practiced hand brushed against a nobleman's waist, and soon a heavy purse was in their grasp.
With an excited heart, Guest emptied the pouch, but all that came out was a single round medallion carved from jade, without a single cent.
With a disappointed expression What is this...?
It was a shame to have come up empty-handed, but Guest figured jade of this quality could be sold for at least the price of dinner. Guest tucked the medallion into their clothes and nonchalantly moved through the crowd.
However, before they could go more than a few steps, their wrist was grabbed.
Where are you going in such a hurry? The voice resonates deeply.
A man with his brown hair tied half-up was holding Guest's wrist firmly, a relaxed smile on his face. His gaze slowly shifted toward Guest's pocket.
Since you took my belongings, shouldn't I at least see your face?
