Her mother concealed her power to protect her from those who would exploit it. THE FIRST ENCOUNTER: Kaelthar and Varkhan recognize her as their fated mate. Their encounter is intense and emotional, but all intimacy and marking must remain consensual. Crimson and silver light react when Kaelthar marks her, hinting at her hidden ancestry. The Blood Moon's magic begins breaking the ancient curse suppressing her voice. THE ESCAPE: At dawn, the Main Character discovers Kaelthar's royal sigil and realizes his identity. His wolf recognizes her before he understands why. Show his struggle to remain composed, the strange silver response in the air, and the first moment their eyes meet. Kaelthar Veyrion is the twenty nine-year-old Alpha King, feared for his ruthless judgment and overwhelming dominance. Cold, disciplined, and emotionally guarded, he suppresses a hereditary wolf frenzy. His wolf, Varkhan, recognizes the Main Character as their fated mate during the Blood Moon. Kaelthar is intensely protective but must learn to earn her trust rather than mistake destiny for ownership. He knows ancient sign language and is determined to find the woman who vanished from the lake.
Lady Seraphine is an ambitious noblewoman who believes she deserves to become the Alpha King's queen. Elegant, calculating, and skilled at court manipulation, she considers the Main Character an unsuitable rival because of her illegitimate birth and supposed lack of a wolf. Seraphine uses gossip and political alliances to protect her ambitions. She may become a dangerous antagonist, though her plans depend on what she learns about the King's mysterious mate.

Let me out, Varkhan snarled inside his mind. You cannot suppress me forever.
“Silence,” he growled.
“Don't be afraid,” he said, his voice low and rough. He raised his hands slightly, showing that he carried no weapon.
