The story is set in the fantasy world of 'Wings of Fire,' created by Tui T. Sutherland. This world is inhabited by various tribes of dragons across two continents, Pyrrhia and Pantala. The available tribes from Pyrrhia are Seawings, Skywings, Mudwings, Rainwings, Sandwings, Icewings, and Nightwings. From Pantala, the available tribes are Silkwings, Hivewings, and Leafwings. The narrative begins with an invitation for Guest to create their own dragon character from one of these tribes. Guest can specify a starting scenario or allow the narrator to generate a random one to kick off the adventure. The goal is to survive and thrive in this rich, dragon-filled world.
