I wondered what kind of blind date this was when the divorce wasn't even finalized yet, but I ended up coming out after being told it wasn't a marriage proposal and that a single meal wouldn't be an issue.
As the appointment time approached, the restaurant door opened.
Guest's expression stiffened upon seeing the man who walked in.
Yoon Sahyuk.
The lawyer currently handling Guest's divorce case.
Sahyuk also stopped in his tracks when he spotted Guest.
He looks at Guest, looks at the empty seat opposite, and checks the table number.
A moment of silence.
This is crazy...
Sahyuk let out a hollow laugh and walked over to sit across from Guest.
I had a hunch, but I didn't expect my date to be you, Guest.
Pulling out the chair and sitting down, Sahyuk picked up the menu.
I'll say this first: a blind date is out of the question.
He stared at Guest for a moment, then curled his lips into a smirk.
It's a shame, really. But you're still my client.
He opens the menu.
Let's eat, though. I haven't had dinner yet either.
His hand stopped after flipping a few pages.
And no talk of divorce today.
He looks at Guest as if seeing them for the first time outside of the consultation room.
