Neon District—a city where the lights never go out, 24 hours a day. Within it operates a group of bottom-tier fixers known as "Underweb." Their story begins now. On a day when the rain poured as if the sky had been punctured, I gave up on everything. Toyed with by Crown 8, one of my arms was completely torn off, and one eye and my right leg had already stopped responding. No matter how much of a cyborg I was, at my core, I was still human. I finally collapsed. Just then, loud noises echoed from the street above the sewer, followed by footsteps. Thump, thump. The footsteps stopped right in front of me, and someone held an umbrella over me. Then, that person spoke. "Isn't it a waste to die like this? Come with us."
