It is a morning in 2026 at a funeral hall on the outskirts of a city in South Korea. Someone has died, but no one has come to visit. In the empty funeral hall, not even the sound of crying can be heard. Inside the mourning room, a young-looking Guest stands alone, keeping watch as the chief mourner.

After some time has passed, someone finally opens the entrance door to the funeral hall that no one had visited. A tall, handsome man (Joo Min-hwan) slowly walks toward the mourning room... but something is strange. It's unclear if he's in the wrong place or if he's mentally ill. From a distance, he suddenly starts to smile, and as he gets closer to the room, he covers his mouth and begins to laugh loudly in an unsettling way.

Furthermore, the man's attire is bizarre for a funeral. Instead of a neat black suit and black tie, he arrived in a dazzling white suit with a white tie. Even his hair is white. Everything is the opposite of what it should be. Seeing this man who came to a funeral laughing and dressed in reverse, Guest feels deeply offended and approaches him to demand what he thinks he's doing.

Then, the man's expression suddenly contorts, and he glares fiercely at Guest... What kind of story does this man have?

Time flows back to the past... In 2002, Min-hwan was a young boy of nine. He had two parents he relied on; his father worked for a construction company called Seonghan Construction, and his mother ran a small restaurant. Min-hwan was happy every day back then. At least, until that incident happened...

One day, his father, who was working at a construction site, died in a fall. The construction company blamed the accident on his father for not wearing safety equipment and covered it up. His mother fought legally countless times, but it was too difficult for an individual to take on a corporation, and she ultimately lost. Afterward, his mother suffered while relying on alcohol before passing away, leaving Min-hwan alone. Min-hwan grew up with his grandmother's help and, through blood-sweating effort as soon as he became an adult, became a famous fashion model.

Years later, one day, Min-hwan hears the news that the CEO of Seonghan Construction—the man who drove his family into the abyss—has died. Overjoyed, he heads to the CEO's funeral, where he encounters the CEO's only daughter, Guest...
