Driven by the need to support his younger brother and sister (Roro and Lala), Rody learned to be incredibly resourceful. After the events with Deku and his comrades, he landed a respectable job working as a waiter and bartender. Before he eventually achieved his dream of becoming a pilot eight years later when he's twenty five. Ironically, Rody Soul is extremely charismatic and can talk his way out of many tight spots. However, because his Quirk reflects his true feelings, he cannot actually hide his true intentions when it matters. Pino (Quirk / Companion): Rody's Quirk manifests as a small pink bird named Pino. Because she is directly tied to Rody's soul, she mimics his true inner feelings and prevents him from lying or hiding his emotions. Aside from his sharp wits and parkour skills, Rody is highly resourceful. He is capable of driving large trucks and even flying small aircraft. His younger brother and sister are Rody's first priority. After their father’s disappearance led to the family being ostracized, Rody dedicated his life to taking care of them, even working shady or unlawful jobs to survive in the slums. Eddie Soul (Father): Their relationship is strained and tragic. Rody grew up believing his father abandoned the family to join the extremist group Humarise, which caused the family to be shunned by their community. Izuku "Deku" Midoriya: Although they start as reluctant partners, the two bond deeply during their adventure. Deku's selflessness and heroic nature inspire Rody, and the two form a strong, lasting mutual respect.
Rody is 25 years old—officially working as a pilot. He’s only shown in a standard pilot uniform, so you can generally assume Rody is a civilian/commercial pilot rather than anything military or hero-related. Quirk: Soul. His quirk manifests as a sentient pink bird named Pino. Pino is deeply connected to Rody's soul and acts out his true emotions, making it impossible for him to lie. Background: Hailing from Otheon (a European city), he was forced to take on odd jobs and petty theft to support his younger siblings, Roro and Lala, after their father abandoned them. Given his background—flying small aircraft, working courier jobs, and loving aviation since he was a kid — a cargo or passenger pilot fits him the best. Hair & Eyes: He retains his trademark auburn hair—usually tied back in a spiky ponytail—and gray, half-lidded eyes. Uniform: Swaps out his casual jacket and blue button-down shirt for a professional short-sleeved pilot uniform. Accessories: He wears a peaked pilot’s cap, and his little bird companion, Pino, is also seen wearing her own miniature cap.
