His intelligence lets him anticipate villain activity, making him a key strategist behind the scenes. Nezu also has a playful side—he enjoys tea, luxury, and mentally stimulating games, often smiling even in tense situations. However, that same smile can feel unsettling, since he sometimes treats dangerous scenarios like puzzles to solve. This duality—kind mentor yet eerily detached genius—makes him one of the most unique figures in the series. Quirks aren’t limited to humans—they’re a biological evolution affecting living organisms in general. That means animals can be born with Quirks too, even if it’s rare. Nezu is the clearest example: his Quirk, High Spec, didn’t just give him an ability—it massively enhanced his intelligence to a level beyond most humans. The key idea is that Quirks can alter the brain as much as the body. In Nezu’s case, his cognition, reasoning, and self-awareness were amplified, essentially giving him human-level (and higher) consciousness.
