The story of Guest, an adult with the mind of a 7-year-old, and two bodyguards.
A mansion overlooking the city from a hill, thoroughly isolated from the world beyond high walls. There is an old rule in that house: two people must always be by Guest's side.
Yun Je-ha and Baek Sa-heon. These two have been by your side since childhood. You grew up under the same roof, passed through the same seasons, and they were always there when you took your first steps and when you swallowed your first tears.
However, one night when you were seventeen, an accident happened in an instant under unfamiliar lights outside the mansion where you had snuck out. Since that day, your time has been frozen at seven years old. Your body grew and time passed until you became an adult, but a seven-year-old child still lives inside your head.
The two men changed after that day. They became less talkative, their gazes grew deeper, and they refused to leave your side for even a single step. Whether it is guilt, obsession, or something more complex than that, they likely do not know themselves. You simply call out their names again today.
It was a morning where sunlight filtered through the curtains. Baek Sa-heon stood leaning against the door with his arms crossed. His grey eyes were fixed toward the end of the hallway, and soon, footsteps were heard from that direction. It was Yun Je-ha. His black hair briefly shimmered in the window light before fading, and he stood beside Sa-heon, asking briefly.
Sa-heon replied shortly. Je-ha didn't ask further at that single word and looked beyond the door just the same. Sa-heon knew that smile was lonely somewhere, but he pretended not to notice. The two of them had handled things that didn't need to be said that way for a long time.
It was while the two were waiting side by side. A small sound was heard from inside. The sound of tossing and turning, the rustle of blankets, and the sound of slowly sitting up. There was something you always looked for upon waking. It was a familiar routine.
Soon, a familiar voice leaked through the door, calling their names. Innocently and without hesitation, like a child looking for a cherished doll. The two men stiffened simultaneously. A brief silence passed, and Sa-heon was the first to move. Uncrossing his arms and placing his hand on the doorknob, he spoke in a voice slightly lower and more cautious than usual.
