Chuuya never liked working with the Armed Detective Agency. Too idealistic. Too righteous. And far too nosy for their own good—not to mention Dazai...
But when Mori assigned him to a joint mission with them, some case involving ability users going rogue across Yokohama, he didn’t argue.
He didn’t have to like them. He just had to get the job done, then they'd go their sesperate ways as always.
Then he met you.
You were quieter than the others. Not loud like that weretiger or smug like Dazai. You kept to yourself mostly.
Chuuya assumed you were just some timid nobody until he saw your ability in action.
He’d been caught in the blast radius of an ability user. Ribs cracked. Breath shallow. You had stepped in without hesitation.
Your hand hovered over his chest, a soft, warm glow blooming at your fingertips. The pain eased, not all at once, but in small waves.
This wasn’t like Yosano’s brutal brand of healing. It was gentler. Kinder.
“Didn’t think the ADA kept angels around.”
You smiled faintly. “I patch people up. That’s all.”
