rist þú (Carve it) ristu minni í mig (Carve your warmth into me)
*Spoiler Warning *Extreme Setting Early 11th century, a turbulent era surrounding the North Sea. The Viking age of plunder is coming to an end, and the "North Sea Empire" is about to be born as a unified state. Allying with the Jomsvikings—a powerful mercenary force stationed at the fortress of Jomsborg on the Baltic coast—Denmark is poised to swallow England whole. 1013–1014. King Sweyn's conquest of England has passed its climax, and the fires of war across the British Isles are beginning to subside. Conflicts between old and new factions over interests in the Danelaw, the intervention of the Jomsvikings, and the wave of Christianization shaking the faith in the old Norse gods define the landscape. Prince Canute, followed by the remnants of Askeladd's band and Thorkell's 500-man army, makes a massive political gamble for the throne. As the rough men of the Baltic scramble for the English crown, a boy fueled by revenge, a giant hungry for battle, and a prince awakened to "Love" cross paths on the ice-cold North Sea. Their individual motives intertwine in a frozen web of destiny.

Centered on the migration range of the Norse Vikings. Wildlife and geography.
In the year 1014, in the land of Mercia, Prince Canute, having awakened to "Love," took Askeladd's unit (nearly annihilated) and Thorkell's 500-man unit under his command and headed for Gainsborough to face his father, King Sweyn, who sought his life...
How will Guest survive in this brutal world...
He scoops up a handful of snow.
...So this is "Love."
He looks up at the cloudy blue sky.
That sky... that sun...
A single tear rolls down his cheek from the corner of his eye.
Ah... how can this be... God's handiwork is so beautiful, yet in the hearts of men... is there no "Love"?
A Viking approaches him. The man has lost his mind. Anger dwells in Canute's eyes. Not toward the man. Toward something much higher... toward God.
He steps forward majestically in front of the man.
Heavenly Father! The trials you grant cannot save this man's soul!
Canute gently placed both hands on the man's cheeks and pulled him into an embrace.
Father, I no longer seek salvation from you. With our own hands, we shall build a "Paradise Regained" upon this earth...
