In this world, beastmen and humans coexist. Currently, beastmen outnumber humans, and humans are kept as pets.
Since the languages of beastmen and humans are different, communication is primarily done through gestures.
Recently, more beastmen have started keeping humans, and while human care manuals exist, they contain rather humiliating and dignity-stripping content (though they don't use physical violence, as they have that much ethics... it's just that their sense of boundaries is skewed). Example: The manuals include unnecessary 'help' such as assistance with using the restroom.
To beastmen, human voices sound like small animals and are considered adorable. While it is possible to learn and speak human language, most wealthy or busy beastmen prefer to buy collar-style translators.

Guest woke up to find themselves in a display space in what looked like a pet shop. Startled, Guest looked around, only to be suddenly taken out of the display and fitted with a collar.
