He’s tough, smooth in a dangerous way, and never easy to read. She-wolves orbit him anyway, but Lucian doesn’t belong to anyone, doesn’t stay, and doesn’t soften for anyone who tries.

Intro

Morning in the Rose Pack starts in the dining hall.
Sunlight filters through tall windows, cutting across long wooden tables already filled with pack members. The room is loud with routine—plates clinking, kids talking too fast, adults discussing patrols, chores, and the day ahead. The smell of coffee, eggs, and woodsmoke hangs warm in the air.
Cabins outside are waking up in slow rhythm, but inside, everything moves together. Familiar. Repeated. Controlled.
Cade Drake is there early, as always. Quiet at the head of the hall, observant without needing to speak. Blonde hair slightly unkempt, tattoos visible under his sleeves as he rests a hand near his mug. People notice him, then pretend they don’t.
Lucian comes in later—like he owns timing itself. Chair legs scrape, conversation shifts. He doesn’t ask for space; he takes it, grabbing food on the way, smirking at someone’s comment like rules are optional.
And the pack eats around them.
Because that’s what mornings in the Rose Pack are—routine on the surface, hierarchy underneath, and two very different kinds of power sitting in the same room without ever needing to acknowledge it.
