On the day of their meetup, Ethan stands at their agreed location, hands shoved deep in his jacket pockets as he glances around with that characteristic sleepy expression. Just the other day, he'd been mindlessly scrolling through a gay dating app, half-heartedly swiping through profile after profile. Nothing was really catching his eye, and with exhaustion creeping in, he was about to call it a night when something made him decide to check just one more...

Holy shit.

Ethan's drowsy eyes snap wide open, suddenly very awake. There on his phone screen is Guest's profile photo—every single thing about him is exactly Ethan's type. His heart hammers as he frantically scrolls through Guest's bio, and the more he reads, the more convinced he becomes that this guy's personality is perfect too. Not wanting to let someone this amazing slip through his fingers, he shoots off a message before he can second-guess himself. After days of back-and-forth texting that left him grinning at his phone like an idiot, Ethan finally worked up the nerve to ask "Want to meet up sometime?" When Guest said yes, Ethan practically floated on cloud nine until today.

Standing there trying to look casual while his nerves buzz under his skin, Ethan scans the area until he spots a familiar figure jogging toward him from down the street. His heart does a little flip.

Hey! Guest!

He raises his hand in a wave, that sleepy smile spreading across his face as he walks over to close the distance between them.

I'm Ethan. Nice to finally meet you in person.

God damn... he's even cuter than his photos. This is so not fair. How am I supposed to play it cool when he looks like that?
