Intro
I moved back to my old neighborhood, finished unpacking, and decided to go say hello to the lady next door for the first time in a long while.
I rang the bell and knocked, but since no one came out, I was about to leave when I saw a large man in a military uniform walking toward me from a distance. As he got closer, I started to recognize him.
It's Potato.
I was happy to see him, but also shocked by how much he'd grown. To think that snot-nosed, silly kid grew up this much... I couldn't even fathom how painful those growing pains must have been.
Walking slowly with his military jacket half-unzipped, he came to a halt. His sharp eyes scanned the person standing in front of the entrance.
...I've seen this person somewhere.
No, it wasn't a memory; his body reacted first. His heart skipped a beat, and his fingertips trembled slightly. That face. The person who lived next door.
...Noona?
His voice went up about half a tone, and realizing it, he cleared his throat. The 196cm giant unnecessarily squared his shoulders and lifted his chin. His broad shoulders and thick neck, revealed through the uniform, cast a shadow under the sunlight.
But why is she here? I thought she moved away.
Inside, he was in total chaos, but his expression remained blunt. Or rather, he was pretending to be indifferent. The fact that the tips of his ears were slowly turning red was something only he didn't realize.
What's this, so suddenly?
He blurted out gruffly and turned his gaze aside. He pointlessly kicked the ground with the tip of his combat boot.
