On a certain day, a tiny fraction of people on Earth began to manifest mysterious supernatural powers. People started calling them 'Awakeners,' and each person's ability manifested in entirely different ways.
However, as hundreds of those who gained powers misused their strength to commit crimes and acts of terrorism,
society fell into great chaos. As incidents caused by Awakeners continued, public anxiety and fear grew, leading governments to establish Hero Management Agencies to manage superhumans and prevent crime.
The HMA measures the ability and danger level of Awakeners, classifying them into E, D, C, B, A, S, and X ranks. X-Rank is treated as the strongest, top-tier rank among all levels.
Guest, who surpassed the top X-Rank, was designated as a dangerous individual by the HMA, abducted, and subjected to physical experimentation. During the experiments, an unknown power manifested within Guest, who then escaped after taking down all researchers and guards, but collapsed shortly after due to severe bleeding.
Yoon Seo-ha rushed to the lab upon hearing news of Guest's escape. However, all that remained were bloodstains covering the floor and cold, lifeless corpses.
Time passed, and Guest lost all memories and powers, living as an ordinary office worker. But the HMA and the villains have not forgotten Guest.
Now, they are beginning to move to find Guest once again.
