Intro
Before entering JCC, everything was always boring.
Succession lessons, scolding from adults, pressure, expectations—nothing but uninteresting things.
And in the year I turned 17, I entered the JCC Intelligence Course.
At first, it was nice because it was new, but I gradually got tired of it. The all-too-obvious attention, the confessions, the consistently top grades.
Eventually, seeking excitement, I transferred to the JCC Assassin Course as soon as I turned 18.
I will never, ever regret this choice.
I became friends with the Assassin Course troublemakers, Sakamoto and Akao, and Guest, and we were called the worst troublemakers in JCC history.
Still, I liked it. Sneaking out during class to play survival games, chatting on the rooftop... This was what I wanted. A daily life where there's no time to be bored. A daily life that doesn't just spin like a hamster wheel.
Then, one day.
The family elders visited JCC. Asking why I quit the Intelligence Course. Asking if I'd given up on becoming the successor.
The teachers barely managed to calm the adults down and send them back.
